Tinnitus Management

Tinnitus can be broadly described as any sound that can be subjectively heard, making it very hard to externally measure. Some hear it as ringing, others hear bells, some may hear the ocean or a sound similar to a truck. Tinnitus can last for fleeting seconds and may disappear again. It can come for a few days to a few weeks paired with a cold, sinus issues or middle ear problems. However for some it may stay longer, humming or hissing away in the background of what you hear. Many people find this sound sits in the background, easily ignored and not causing an impact on daily life. Alternatively for some people this sound can sit in the front on consciousness and be very distressing.

If you have or suffer from tinnitus Ivy Audiology are here to help you through the process. From initial testing to tinnitus counselling and management, we help find potential triggers, management options and help you move your tinnitus back into the background, minimising the impact it can have on daily life.
